The Tees Trail Races (formerly Tees Forest Trail  Races) were created in 2002 to promote healthy  outdoor exercise and highlight countryside sites  across the Tees Valley.   We currently organise the series to put something  back into the local running scene as well as to keep  the popular series going. We are a non-profit making  organisation which supports various charities and  like to give something back to the competitors too.   We attract a wide variety of different abilities and  always support and encourage novice or less  experienced runners to participate to promote active  lifestyles. We like to encourage people to race who would possibly never think of  racing and probably attract a different type of runner to the normal type of club  event. It's a formula that works so we try to keep everything simple and low key.  Race series info    We are dependant on our local authorities for their support and help given by the  staff at the various race venues. There are also a host of helpers and volunteers  without who we couldn't operate. Previous sponsors have included Up 'n' Running,  Cleveland Runner and Lucozade Sport.  Race Permits are obtained through The Trail Running Association   Photos courtesy of David Aspin and Alan Musgrove.  Front page and background picture by Amy Howe.  Website built and maintained by Active Green              (rob@activegreen.co.uk)
